If you’ve ever visited my condo you can tell which door is mine simply because it’s the one without a wreath. Old people love wreaths and Suzie across the hall from me is no exception. She loves wreaths so much … Continue reading
When I moved into my condo I loved everything about it, except the builder beige on every wall. It just screams work to me. A year later I have managed to cover all of it except my massive bedroom (Xmas break project). Bathrooms are small & easy to makeover in just a few quick hours.
During one of my endless Pinterest scrolling sessions I came across this DIY and I was smitten. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/248331366923707548/
In a few hours of blood sweat & tears I had transformed this
Here’s what you need to get started:
* measuring tape
* chalk line
* frog tape (do not cheap out & get dollar store painters tape, you don’t want your lines to bleed)
* two colours of interior paint
To begin paint your bathroom a solid colour, I chose white and it took 3 coats to get rid of the nasty beige.
Just before your paint is dry peel back the tape & voila! You have your very own fun house bathroom to place bets on which friend will puke in it first.

Fall brings the colour change of leaves, brisk mornings, tall boots, wool sweaters and the return of the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte. If you enjoy forking over $5 a drink then by all means, quit reading and find your way to the nearest Starbucks. But if you love the taste of Pumpkin Spice without leaving your home, read on my friends.
DIY Pumpking Spice Latte Syrup
In a pot combine all ingredients. Stir over medium heat until all the sugar has dissolved. Continue cooking over medium/low heat for 5 minutes (DON’T LET IT BOIL!!)
Pour syrup through a fine mesh strainer into an air tight container. The syrup will last for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Shake before using as the syrup may separate while not being used.
Add to your coffee, froth some milk to pour over and you my friends have your very own homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte.
